The following Address was prepared for delivery before Anthropology classes at the Walla Walla Community College during the month of October 1971.

Pleneurethics constitutes a new world of thought and action. It is a world of virtually limitless dimension. I will be able to present but a fragment of it here at this time.

Perhaps I am a poor choice to be the one to open this new world to you, because I am so closely associated with it, having just finished creating it. The first 46 years of my life were spent acquiring the life experience necessary to develop an insight into this new world. The next seven were devoted to outlining its scope in a book of six volumes, plus one revised edition—seven volumes in all. I suspect that in a few decades any bright school girl or boy will be able to present a more concise delineation of Pleneurethics than I am able to do now.

The term “Pleneurethics” was derived from three basic words:Plenary meaning completely competent and with total authority, neural which relates to the brain since it is the central part of the neural system, and ethos or ethics which has to do with responsible behavior and constructive conduct.

Thus, Pleneurethics is the school of thought which teaches a way of life compatible with complete cerebellar competence guided by an ethical and wise mentality. This concept is applicable to both the youthful and the aged, workers as well as administrators, and for life in both the East and West.

Above all, Pleneurethics represents a way of life that is integrated. It centers around one single universal value, rather than a
 page 112
multitude of conflicting values which are popularly and professionally prevalent throughout our modern world today.

Broadly speaking, Pleneurethics is an international system of relevant thought and ethical behavior which is aimed at improving world civilization. It does this by assisting the individual to be a better person physically and mentally through enlightened neurological management.

Briefly, and on another level of abstraction, Pleneurethics is a way of life and system of therapeutics based on the notion that chronic personal dissatisfactions are caused by patterns of disorder in the central neural system. Therapy is aimed at restoration and preservation of central neurological competence, thereby reversing the course of undesirable events.

The brain is postulated in Pleneurethics to frame the range and vigor of mentality of mind; the brain also is believed to influence somatic systems operation and coordination. If the brain remains traumatically undisturbed and is physiologically stable, the mind will enjoy hospitable abode, and the body will revel in undiminished basis for buoyant, virtually, irrepressible good health. If the brain is traumatically distorted, both the mind and the body will manifest mental and physical upset concurrently.

Since Pleneurethics is occupied with life, it must outline its belief regarding the source of this life and the origin of our universe.

Absolute

The Absolute of Pleneurethics is envisioned to emit an absolute principle which forms an array of Absolute Law. This immutable law of the Absolute throws a gantry of force from which such things as mass, motion, dimension and consciousness are derived. Here is the immediate basis for our universe and all that is in it.

Material which is apparent to our senses is but the tip of the iceberg. For behind all material, which is visible and palpable to
 page 113
our limited range of perception, exists an immense amount of invisible material. This is called meta-material in Pleneurethics. That which is true for material is likewise true for consciousness and the animating force of life.

Meta-consciousness is the unseen force of life which resides in a realm beyond our range of perception. This force has been given the name Aram. And all life on Earth is but Aramification of material in the several life forms that we see on land and in the air and water.

Since life on earth abides in material physical form, we cannot evade recognition of the laws of physics. For the law of physics is nothing but the Absolute Law expressed in terms of mass, trajectories, orbits, attractions, repulsions, ducts, levers, transfers, bioelectronic coaxial transmission devices, and the like.

Structure

On the broadest scale, Pleneurethics sees life systems, and the environment within which life must survive, as a series of inter-related structures and substructures.

The main beam of Pleneurethics is its concept of structure. Let us examine this main beam more closely in its application to understanding life systems. What do we mean by structural approach, and with what other schools may we contrast it to illuminate our perception?

The physical approach of Pleneurethics may be contrasted with the chemical approach of certain schools.

Pleneurethics postulates that in any device of man or nature, structural design controls the span of function. And biological function has a direct bearing upon content, utilization, and balance. If structure is traumatically distorted, range of function will likewise be adversely shifted and content pathologically altered. In such instances, remedy aimed at normalizing content through chemical prescriptions is not remedied or corrective, because the original
 page 114
structural alteration remains traumatic and uncorrected. Pleneurethical remedy is aimed at correcting the structural distortion, thereby reversing the course of pathological events—eventually restoring them to normal.

Pleneurethics invokes the craft inherent in the college of physics, and turns it against the excesses now being advocated by the college of chemistry. The college of chemistry, in its inflexible determination to view all ailments of man in terms of a chemical potion, has contributed to the overlooking of one new structural system in human anatomy. This structure, the bioductory system, is coaxial with the central neural system. It exerts substantial influence upon its structure and function and content. We will look more closely at this new anatomical system later.

The structural approach of Pleneurethics may also be contrasted with the mystical view of life which would have us believe that the laws of physics may be transcended by extraordinary acquity of mind. Pleneurethics postulates that life on earth must accept the physical dimension in which it flourishes. Any attempt to ignore requirements of physical structure can only lead to dissatisfaction with life on earth and to ultimate disaster for the individual who disregards the physics of the material body.

Pleneurethics also stands in opposition to the theological understanding of life. Pleneurethics denies the belief that a theological superfigure in premeditation would maliciously invoke a holy spirit in revengeful attack upon people. Pleneurethics does not accept the belief of a holy spirit that would punish people with incurable disease or curse people and their progeny throughout endless generations into eternity.

Although Pleneurethics rejects the notion of a divine force that causes vagaries in the Absolute Force of life available to an individual; Pleneurethics does reveal a condition prevalent in humankind which could be mistaken for such display of divine disaffection by the afflicted.

This condition is a degenerative deterioration of mind and body caused by diminished brain capability. Moreover, under the sustained
 page 115
impact of chronic structural distortion, the brain may be unable to respond to animatory forces of meta-consciousness even though they are completely available.

The Absolute of Pleneurethics is conceived to provide a steady  animating input into man. This input is never revengeful, nor is it capricious. It remains steadfastly undiminished even in the face of disbelief in its existence, blasphemy, or heresy. Indeed, the Absolute of Pleneurethics sees no heresy nor hears no blasphemy. It favors no nation over another, nor does it take sides in armed conflict. It makes no covenants and grants no special favor to prophets or sects or denominations. The Absolute transcends regional boundaries. It is impersonal and dispassionate.

Most certainly, Pleneurethics in its emphasis upon structural integrity takes exception to psychotherapeutic view that teaches all degenerative illness not curable by chemical potions must therefore originate in a perverse psychology of the mind. Hence the proper therapy is said to consist of clever verbiage, psychic ventilation, or suggestive hypnosis. Pleneurethics postulates that although the mal-structure of mentality may aggravate a chronic degenerative condition of body, it is not the cause. Psychotherapeutics aimed at such ailment is never corrective nor even palliative of the basic cause.

Let us now turn our attention briefly to the mechanics of structural devices so that we may achieve more specific insight. What do these devices or engines do? What is their purpose? How do they achieve a result?

Engines

Inanimate engines are vastly less complicated than animate organisms. The simplest inanimate engine is a loop knot in a piece of string. The structure of the knot functions to shorten the string, increase its mass at the juncture of the knot, and provides feedback monitoring of tension with tightening, because the string was reflected upon itself. The content of the knot is string, and there is an input into the knot and an energy output, as opposite ends of the
 page 116
knot are manipulated. Similar analysis could be imposed on any device of man such as an automobile, rocket, or office building.

Living creatures are also engines, but they are engines of nature and not of man. They are structured to produce a function, and are constructed of materials which constitutes their content. They receive an input, produce an output, and are provided with feedback circuitry for control through monitoring of activity.

As is the case with all engines, excessive structural alteration will swing the range of function into a distorted area, adversely modify content of the device; and may even impair the ability of the structure to receive a normal input or to transmit a normal output.

In the more complicated living engines such as man, there are several organic systems all of which are integrated to create the complete person in human form. Here the chances for structural distortion of an interlocking nature are greater than in less complicated devices or life forms. This is true because man is a structure within a structure within yet another structure. Man is perhaps the most important engine in nature, yet man is more than an ordinary engine because man has some control over himself.

The Brain

The brain is professed in Pleneurethics to be the central organic structure of man, and, as such, it offers the best vantage from which all living affairs of man are most realistically evaluated.

To better understand the brain, we may now look to its immediate environment, for it is from this quarter that greatest danger exists!

Brain cells are surrounded by a sea of blood whose quality and quantity depends in part upon dietic input into the body, and in part upon the brain’s ability to control digestion, assimilation, hepatic processing and distribution of blood into and away from brain.

 page 117

The brain, and the remainder of the central and peripheral neural system, is enclosed in a protective environmental system of ducts termed the bioductory system by Pleneurethics. This system of ducts is flexible within limits, and provides foramina for access by blood and lymph ducts and connections to other sectors of the bioductory system. The bioductory system is one of the most important anatomical structures in our body, and prior to Pleneurethics, one of the least understood—its existence was not even recognized.

The brain is also very closely associated with the environment of the mind. As the mind learns to interpret brain signals and issue orders for the brain to transmit along efferent neurological tracts to the soma—a mentality is created. The pattern of mentality develops slowly at first, as does the power of mentality to control cerebellar resources. But later in life, mentality becomes complex, and develops exceedingly great command over brain resources.

The energy output of the brain is not limitless, nor is it inexhaustible, nor is its pattern impervious to distortion. If more energy is devoted toward one biological direction, less will be available in all other directions. And if the total level of cerebellar capability is depressed or its pattern distorted, functions of life which depend upon this energy will likewise be malregulated.

Harm, most easily and surreptitiously, comes to the brain from that which constitutes its immediate environment, namely:blood, mentality, and the bioductory system.

Blood, if undernourished or toxic or undercirculated, may impose substantial burden on the brain. It may even be permanently harmed if prolonged blood problems occur during formative years.

Malstructure of mentality or excessive mentation from accumulation of stressful problems may also depress cerebellar energy resources, thereby acutely depriving other aspects of our being dependent upon brain output for coordination and control of metabolism.

 page 118

And finally, chronic bioductory derangements will install structural stress directly upon the brain and indirectly through its peripheral extensions, thereby chronically diminishing brain capability. Moreover, such chronic bioductory distortion also operates circuitously through collateral organic systems, to further disrupt the pattern and range of brain activity and capability for faithful neurological response to normal stimuli.

The brain responds to stress from many sources. It must dissipate this tension through various processes, or retain the accumulation and absorb the deleterious consequences.

Once the scope of brain capability has been harmfully altered by any vector or combination of vectors whatsoever, this accumulation will reflect to immediately exert alterative disturbance upon the mind and body, including the vitality of the bioductories themselves.

Pleneurethics postulates a coaxial relationship between the central neural system and the central portion of the bioductory system in a physio-neurological dimension. Pleneurethics also postulates a coaxial relationship between the mind and brain of a neuro-mental dimension. Thus, a triaxial relationship among the brain, mind, and bioductory system exists. Because of this triaxiality incredible, almost incomprehensible, difficulty has plagued man’s efforts to solve health problems. Not until the advent of Pleneurethics was the problem solved in both theory and practice.

Once we understand the postulates concerning the brain and its environment, we are able to establish new notions on acute illness, chronic degenerative illness, chronic mental illness, dream and nightmare analysis, ethic, efficacy of healing power of holy spirits, evil spirits, and metaphysics.

Ethics

Energy of the brain is held in Pleneurethics to be the most precious form of energy of universal significance in this earthly world. It is more valuable by far than energy liberated by coal, oil, electric
 page 119
generators or atomic piles. For upon this plastic neurological carrier variations in mentation and somatic systems coordination may be accurately impressed.

That which needlessly wastes this valuable commodity is unethical. Here is the basis for Pleneurethics’ standard of international ethics. Creative conservation of neural energy in ourselves and others is at one and the same time the basis for the Pleneurethics’ concept of ethics and also of mental and physical health.

Moreover, and this is a very significant moreover which deserves indelible underscoring, unethical conduct depresses the level of health and encourages illness; because the very basis for health itself according to the postulate of Pleneurethics is dependent upon neurological resources.

Lying to another person is unethical because it causes the other person to needlessly encumber substantial neurological resources in surmounting the problem caused by the falsehood. Savage sports and war are unethical because of the chances for immediate death or chronic injury especially to the bioductory system. Many a young man’s neurological normalcy has been ruined, and the seeds of debilitating chronic mental and physical illness installed by one traumatic moment on the football field.

Some school work is unethical if it needlessly demands unproductive mental exercises, as in excessive rote memory, and the like.

Heated argument, insulting provocation are also grossly unethical because of the neurological exhaustion which ensues.

Application

In Pleneurethics we do not identify with some glorious regional god, nor do we worship images or symbols. Instead, we identify with our civilization and selflessly foster the advance of the quality of life in our world.

 page 120

Women have a special place in Pleneurethics for they have the capability and time to investigate new vistas of knowledge. And, having found a better way, they may introduce it into their home for the betterment of their family life.

Women are also invited to come into the structure of Pleneurethics on any level they wish. This will insure the place of women in Pleneurethics, for they will have been there from the beginning, and will have earned their right to their post of occupancy without question. There will be no need to seek court intervention to open the doors to women.

Youth is also invited into this world of truth and ethics. For the mightiest clout in the world today comes from courageously wielding the big stick of ethical truth which is central to Pleneurethics.

This new world of Pleneurethics is of universal dimension which transcends regional boundaries in its dealing with humankind. It is a world of ethical values and basic relevancies which mean the same thing to every person here or in some far away precinct of our earth.

Pleneurethics is a world where we take responsibility for our own ethical thought, proper behavior, and wise development. It is a world where we do not evade our position in civilization or our mission to advance the overall quality of life on earth. It is a world where we expect little free license, but assume more than our share of work. Knowing that our real reward will come reciprocally from the satisfaction and enjoyment of living in an improved quality of environment and civilization.

In this initial period of introduction to Pleneurethics, we should try only to understand what it is. There should be no wasted effort aimed at debate or argument. We should neither accept nor reject Pleneurethics at this time. But rather we should entertain the new notions open-mindedly, knowing that over the years we will acquire new information which will tend to confirm or dispute that which we entertain in our mentality. Debate and argument are vital in testing, but not essential in acquisition of new knowledge. Debate is simply not appropriate in the initial stage of comprehension.

 page 121

Let us now recapitulate some of the hard science of Pleneurethics briefly covered in this address.

Central reality of our earthly form is the brain. Upon this structure balances all other systems of our being.

The most common causes of harm to the brain are malstructure of mentality and distortions of bioductory arrangement; both of which destroy the ability of the brain to proliferate normal patterns of energy. Improper diet for prolonged periods may also harm the brain, especially in its formative years.

Once the brain is inimically modified, all other tissue systems constituting our human form are pathologically affected according to the pattern of cerebellar distortion.

Pleneurethics cures chronic problems by correcting the prime source of chronic disturbance to the brain, thereby reversing the course of disease processes. If chronic brain disturbance has been allowed to progress into an irreversible damaged condition, Pleneurethics is no longer curative. It is only ameliorative at best.

The structure and function of tissues in our body are invariably altered by central disease processes to produce deviations in body chemical content. Pleneurethics, in its structural approach to human affairs, reverses the cause of the source of chemical deviation by restoring structural symmetry. For, if structure be imperfect, function will falter, and content will exhibit chronic proclivity to abnormalcy even with an otherwise perfect dietetic intake and external environmental condition.

The correction of a malstructure of mentality is accomplished by the adoption of ethical patterns of mentation, listening receptively to education in true knowledge, and through participation in drills to develop mental discipline.

The correction of a malstructure of bioductory tissues is secured by the application of biomechanical force, revision of living habits to retain bioductory integrity, and drills to improve mental communication with physics of body via the neural system.

 page 122

The correction of dietetic intake is along the lines prescribed by knowledgeable clinicians. It has been well enough understood for decades.

Drugs or alcohol, as a way of life, retard and distort the thrust of civilization. Mind altering drug experience is invalid, because it unnaturally influences the mind. Persistent use leads to unproductive abnormalcy. The problem is especially pernicious because the user will tend to deny his unfitness.

The brain is the window to reality of this earthly world. Should the brain be disturbed through drug abuse, the mind tends to accept the new distorted view as normal. And the mentality is automatically restructured to coincide with the new but aberated window of reality.

I would like to make one final note about Pleneurethics and other schools of human affairs.

In the early stages of Pleneurethics, copies of its volumes were handed to representatives of other schools in the healing arts field around the world. Invariably the report filtered back:Pleneurethics is “too far out” to be of any serious value. But now every group without exception is moving, or already has moved, well over into the camp of Pleneurethics. Those who initially rejected Pleneurethics out of hand, now strive heroically to identify with its central teaching.

After Pleneurethics pointed out that the brain is where it is, and indicated why it is that it is there—other groups suddenly claimed to have known it all the time. Some of these groups have in the past few weeks launched an intensive television campaign in a desperate effort to abruptly replace their image toward the realm of Pleneurethics.

In Pleneurethics, the brain and its pattern of energy is postulated to be the thing. This is in marked contrast with the chemo-therapists who in the past have insisted that virus and germs were the thing; the gentlemen of osteopathy who declared all body joints, including articulations of the spine, and blood to be the thing; the
 page 123
massage groups such as Swedish masseurs, Siamese masseurs, chiropractors and Japanese finger pressure experts who said variously that tight muscles along the spine were the thing; the naturopathic physicians who professed things natural in diet and spinal manipulation to be where it is at; the psychiatrists who proclaimed guilt or envy in unconscious mind to be the thing; the spiritualists and metaphysicists who advocate extra-terrestrial remedy for terrestrial ailment to be the only true way; the psychologists who said it is all in the mind and thinking makes it so; and the religionists who preach the holy spirit of a super being to be the thing.

The prime thrust of Pleneurethics in the last analysis is not to kill virus, to move all joints, to massage tight spiral muscles, to refine diet, to cleanse an unconscious mind, to apply metaphysical dressing, to suggest to the mind, or to suplicate a mysterious holy spirit. Rather the goal is to Pleneurize the brain by techniques of art and science unique with Pleneurethical philosophy for the purpose of improving health and ethical behavior of people.

Thank you for your interest and attention. Are there questions or requests for examples illuminating points covered during this very cursory presentation of an introduction to Pleneurethics?
